KAY 2 'WE KNOW'
West London based duo Kay 2 continue the build up to their highly anticipated forthcoming debut mixtape ‘The Strangest Day’ with a brand new single titled ‘We Know’.
Having grown up on a small council estate in Chelsea / Fulham with a rich Moroccan and Irish heritage, music played a monumental part in the upbringing of Kay 2, something which has transcended into the music they make today. "It's basically Pop and Hip Hop, with a mixture of any other genre we like," they reveal, whilst name checking the likes of Mike Posner,Wiz Khalifa , Jamie T, Kid Cudi and N-Dubz as some of their musical influences.
They've already peaked at Number 2 on the Myspace UK Unsigned Music Charts, and received interest from countless record labels, distribution companies and tastemakers from across the industry.
Following on from their latest viral video, ‘Hard To Say’ (a cover of The Streets – ‘At The Back Of The Line’), ‘We Know’ is a laid back, eerie yet feel good number demonstrating the duos ability to produce, rap and sing; whilst creating songs which can hold any listeners attention without at any time sounding like they are trying too hard to demand it. The infectious track is accompanied by an off the wall video featuring Michael and Souhail riding a bike around the sunny streets of Chelsea, and is sure to be a big hit with the online community.
With the release of their debut mixtape ‘The Strangest Day’ scheduled for the 27th June, ‘We Know’ lands at the perfect time for Kay 2 fans, presenting a moreish teaser of what fans can expect to hear from the group this summer.
