I have had the opportunity to listen to all types of genre's of music and recently was given the opportunity to listen to a new track entitled "Let Me Chill" and was amazed. I am a fan of all music so I decide to post it ! Check out this up-coming 21 year old emcee that goes by the name "Zumo Kollie" from the capital of the Ocean State, Providence. For the last year and a half, he has been working, scrapping, salvaging and sculpting for his second project, Last Showing !
"To say it's been a labor of love would be an understatement, but it's finally in the home stretch and ready to be out. So, I figured now would be as good a time as any to step up on the soapbox and take a few questions about the infrequency of the work. That's the point of Let Me Chill". - Zumo Kollie
Let Me Chill is, in short, an answer. Zumo Kollie get's the feeling that people fail to realize that behind all the personalities, the networking and the comeuppance we work to maintain that we all have our own thing we got to labor through and get control of. Zumo Kollie say's he dig's when people ask the question where have you been ;he believes if you want music to be your life, you have dedicate something within yourself that's completely different from what the normal person is willing to put into it. Zumo Kollie then goes on to say:
"In a nutshell, the shit is taxing, B. Getting word that family members are paralyzed and coming down with emphysema and cancer is a real thing for me and being guarded, reclusive and defensive is just a natural reaction. But, that's the ill shit about this; getting completely naked on a record and letting it all go, only to find that people feel where you're coming from and support that. The idea behind Let Me Chill is just that: give me some time to understand the wildness we call life enough to describe it, and you'll get the best out of me. If you ask and I got it, then you got it. If you ask and I don't, then you know I'm working. But, either way, you'll get your answer." -Zumo Kollie
