Why DYDC? Dying Young is symbolic of us living in the now! Here we fervently attack our goals, and live and enjoy them now, rather than wait for later. We seek to determine our own destiny...meaning that not only are we chasing our dreams now, but we plan to continue until our death, so in essence we plan to “Die Young!” DYDC has noticed a swell of similar behavior and actions from those in their local community so they call themselves, DYDC, at the moment there is such a movement among many of today’s youth which they have captured via DYlifestyle.com
DYlifestyle.com’s focus is on a diversity of news, true immersion within local and international “DY” culture. Their aim is not just a simple observation, or record of events and happenings, they are active participants in such activities and efforts.
As a cooperative, DYDC has many functions, mainly their website that details the current “creative resurgence” in DC and abroad. The site chronicles the positive happenings, and artistic efforts of fellow “DYers”. By way of the site they interview, style, curate events, consult artists, and translate “Dying Young” to the world.
All of the product and content displayed is produced in-house. From the photography, to videos, to styling, to event production; each of these are also offered as professional services.
