L-R-G (Lifted Research Group) is proud to announce Freddie Gibbs, 9th Wonder, Rapsody, and The Kid Daytona live from Southpaw in Brooklyn, NY on Wednesday, September 28th. The show will kick off the first-ever L-R-Generations Tour. OkayPlayer is the media sponsor for the Brooklyn event, and Fresh Daily, and local hustler/promoter/producer extraordinaire, Jah C who recently just released the mixtape, "Conception"., will also be joining the bill as support.
Freddie Gibbs, fresh from signing a deal with Young Jeezy’s CTE label, is building anticipation for his forthcoming L-R-G-supported album, Cold Day In Hell, due out this fall. After releasing his latest offering Lord Giveth, Lord Taketh Away, and joining Young Jeezy on a national tour, Gibbs headlines the L-R-Generations Tour, which will make stops in his home state of Indiana, as well as Chicago, Pittsburgh, St. Louis and at Atlanta’s A3C Festival.
Few in hip-hop can rival 9th Wonder’s legacy as a producer, and the former Little Brother architect will man the turntables during the L-R-Generations Tour. Ninth has been playing gigs around the country in recent months and screening his autobiographical LRG-backed documentary, The Wonder Year.
The Kid Daytona, the Bronx MC who brought you the The Interlude LP, and Rapsody, the first lady of 9th Wonder’s Jamla Records and of the NC rap collective, Kooley High, will also join the
L-R-Generations Tour as support.
